Stefano Bontempelli is a founding Partner of NB Renaissance. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Engineering, Farnese Vini, Biolchim, Uteco, Sicit, Inetum, Arbo, Neopharmed, Bending Spoons and U-Power.

Prior to founding NB Renaissance in 2015, he was at Société Générale as Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance Italy in Milan from 2011 to 2014 and at Neuberger Berman (previously Lehman Brothers) from 1999 to 2010 as Managing Director of NB Co-Investment Fund in London and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions Italy in Milan. Mr. Bontempelli started his career in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Credit Suisse in London.

Mr. Bontempelli graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Ca' Foscari University in Venice.

Fabio Canè is a founding Partner of NB Renaissance. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Lima Corporate, Ilpea, Fila, Pavan, Esaote, Engineering, Comelz, Rino Mastrotto, Sicit, Inetum, Neopharmed and U-Power.

Prior to founding NB Renaissance in 2015, from 2005 to 2014 he held a number of roles at Intesa Sanpaolo including Head of Private Equity; Head of Investment Banking with responsibility for M&A, ECM, DCM and structured finance with assets of over €10bn; and Head of Restructuring & Special Situations. From 2000 to 2004, Mr. Canè was co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yoox (now YNAP). Previously, he was a Partner at Bain & Co. in Milan.

Mr. Canè is a board member and chairman of the Buyout Committee of AIFI, the Italian Association of Private Equity, Venture Capital and Private Debt.

Mr. Canè graduated cum laude in Business Administration from LUISS University and received an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University. Mr. Canè is a Certified Public Accountant.

Marco Cerrina Feroni is a founding Partner of NB Renaissance. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Sigma Tau, Stroili, Alfasigma, Camfin Pirelli, Novamont, Rina, Comelz, Uteco, Hydro Holding and Arbo.

Prior to founding NB Renaissance in 2015, from 2000 to 2014 he was Head of Merchant Banking at Intesa Sanpaolo with responsibility for a €2.6bn investment portfolio, including private equity direct and fund investments, strategic investments and debt to equity swaps. Prior to that, Mr. Cerrina Feroni held a number of roles in the Corporate and Investment Banking Group at Intesa Sanpaolo, including Head of Equity Capital Markets, Head of Global Equities, and Head of M&A and Restructuring.

Mr. Cerrina Feroni graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Tommaso De Bustis Figarola is a Partner and joined NB Renaissance in 2015. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Alfasigma, Pavan, Esaote, Rina, Engineering Ingegneria Informatica, Farnese Vini, Biolchim, Uteco, Sicit and U-Power.

Prior to NB Renaissance, he was a Vice President of the Private Equity Group and Associate of the M&A Advisory Group at Intesa Sanpaolo. Mr. De Bustis started his career as an Analyst at Paris & Partners Corporate Finance and Argy Venture Capital.

Mr. De Bustis graduated from Link Campus University of Malta in Rome.

Marco De Simoni is a Partner and joined NB Renaissance in 2015. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Sigma Tau, Alfasigma, Stroili, Pavan, Savio, Atos, Rina, Biolchim and Sicit.

Prior to NB Renaissance, from 2006 to 2014 he was a Principal of the Private Equity Group at Intesa Sanpaolo. Prior to that, he was Head of Treasury and Financial Planning at EEMS Italia, an Italian semiconductor company.

Mr. De Simoni graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Pisa University and received a M.Sc. in Corporate Finance from the SDA Bocconi School of Management.

Luca Deantoni is a Partner and joined NB Renaissance in 2015. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Farnese Vini, Uteco, Arbo and Neopharmed.

Prior to NB Renaissance, he was CFO at EcorNaturaSì (leading Italian organic food supermarket chain), which he joined in 2012 spearheading a successful leveraged minority buyout, and Partner of Finanziaria Canova, an Italian investment firm, from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, Mr. Deantoni worked at Credit Suisse, where he was a Director of DLJ Merchant Banking Partners (Credit Suisse’s private equity investment arm) from 2007 to 2009. From 1996 to 2007, Mr. Deantoni was a member of the European Investment Banking Group, based in London and Milan, with various responsibilities including Head of European Specialty Retail and Luxury.

Mr. Deantoni graduated cum laude in Economics from Bocconi University.

Alessio Masiero is a Partner and joined NB Renaissance in 2016. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Comelz, Hydro Holding, Rino Mastrotto and U-Power.

Prior to NB Renaissance, from 2012 to 2016 he was an Investment Manager in the Private Equity Department of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) in Abu Dhabi. Prior to that, he was an Associate in the Investment Banking Department of Citigroup in London and Milan.

Mr. Masiero graduated in Business Administration from Bocconi University and received a M.Sc. in Finance from Bocconi University.

Piero Galli is an Operating Partner and joined NB Renaissance in 2019. He has been involved in a number of portfolio companies including Engineering, Uteco and Inetum.

Prior to NB Renaissance, he served as Director and Partner of Bain & Co. in Italy for 21 years, where he founded and ran the TMT practice serving both Italian and global clients. Subsequently, Mr. Galli served as General Manager of Milan Expo 2015, the universal world fair taking place every 5 years, which welcomed 140 participating countries and over 22 million visitors. Mr. Galli started his career as a business developer of Cameli & Co. Group, a large Italian industrial conglomerate, after having served as a controller of local newspapers of Editoriale l’Espresso, the largest Italian publishing company.

Mr. Galli graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Genova University.

Antonio Sala is an Operating Partner and joined NB Renaissance in 2015. Mr. Sala is Operating Advisor and member of the Board of Directors of Rino Mastrotto and Arbo. Previously, he was Executive Vice President of Farnese Vini (portfolio company until March 2020). Before joining NB Renaissance, he was CEO of the Galbani Group and Deputy General Manager Corporate Affairs of Groupe Lactalis in France. He has 31 years of experience in multinational companies, in consulting and consumer goods (food). A graduate of Bocconi University in Milan, he was awarded the title of BAA Alumnus by the BAA Association in Paris in 2014.

Andrea Vallini is an Operating Partner and joined NB Renaissance in 2021. Mr. Vallini is Operating Advisor and member of the Board of Directors of SICIT Group. He started his career in the Corporate Finance team of the Ferruzzi-Montedison Group, leading several M&A transactions in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Energy sectors. After a period at Bain & Co, he spent 4 years at Edison as Director of Finance & Control. He has extensive experience in defining strategic corporate initiatives and in corporate planning and development, having served as CEO of Marsh Italia and as a member of the EMEA Executive Committee. Mr. Vallini graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University and holds a Master in Executive Management from INSEAD.

Nevena Batchvarova is a Principal and joined NB Renaissance in 2022 with responsibility for Fundraising and Investor Relations.

Prior to NB Renaissance, she was responsible for Investor Relations at Ambienta SGR, which she joined in 2018. Prior to that, Ms. Batchvarova was a senior investment professional at Green Arrow Capital and DeA Capital Alternative Funds in Milan, where she focused on primary investments, secondaries and co-investments. She was also an investment associate with Coller Capital’s global investment team and an executive with Campbell Lutyens’ fundraising team in London. Ms. Batchvarova started her career as an analyst at Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking division in New York.

Ms. Batchvarova graduated with an AB in Public Policy and International Relations from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.

Giovanni Camisassi is a Principal and joined NB Renaissance in 2015. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Engineering, Farnese Vini, Comelz, Inetum and Bending Spoons.

Prior to NB Renaissance, he was an Analyst in the Italian Corporate Finance team of Société Générale. Prior to that, he worked as an Analyst in the Transaction Advisory team of Ernst & Young.

Mr. Camisassi graduated in Business Administration from Bocconi University and received a M.Sc. in Accounting, Financial Management and Control from Bocconi University.

Flavia Carmina is a Principal and joined NB Renaissance in 2021. She acts as Legal Counsel for Neuberger Berman AIFM S.à r.l. – Italian Branch.

Ms. Carmina has over 12 years of experience advising Italian and foreign companies, listed and non-listed, in relation to mergers, demergers, acquisitions/sale and capital increases, as well as in connection with regulatory and corporate matters. Prior to joining NB Renaissance, Ms. Carmina was a Managing Associate in the Corporate & Finance team of Legance Avvocati Associati in Milan. She began her legal career with Lombardi Molinari & Associati.

Ms. Carmina graduated cum laude in law from Bocconi University and received a M.Sc. in Law from Bocconi University. She qualified at the Milan Court of Appeal.

Emanuele Vignoli is a Principal and joined NB Renaissance in 2015. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Ilpea, Pianoforte Group, Mecaer Aviation Group, Termomeccanica, Novamont and Neopharmed.

Prior to NB Renaissance, from 2005 to 2014 he was a Vice President of the Private Equity Group at Intesa Sanpaolo. Prior to that, he was an Associate of the Equity Capital Market Group and Equity Research Department at Twice Sim, a financial advisory company.

Mr. Vignoli graduated cum laude in Economics and Financial Markets from Bocconi University and received a M.Sc. in Corporate Finance from SDA Bocconi School of Management.

Paloma Lopez Imizcoz is a Vice president and has joined NB Renaissance in 2023 with a responsibility for ESG, Responsible Investing and sustainable growth. She works closely with the Investment team and portfolio companies to deliver tangible value through sustainability.

Ms. Lopez Imizcoz has over 8 years of experience in the strategic sustainability and circular economy field, advising corporates and financial institutions in the integration of ESG topics within business management.

Prior to NB Renaissance, she was Senior Manager in the Deals & Strategy practice of PwC Italy, which she joined in 2021 to boost the growth of the ESG Strategy & Value creation practice. Prior to that, she was an ESG Rating Senior Analyst within the Cerved Rating Agency (Cerved Group). Paloma started her career as a Sustainability Project Manager in a multinational food and packaging company based in Argentina, where she was focused on sustainability projects within supply chain management.

Ms. Lopez Imizcoz graduated cum laude in Environmental Science from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, and received in 2021, the degree of the International MBA in the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano.

Matteo Manfredi is a Vice President and joined NB Renaissance in 2021. He has been involved in the investment in Arbo.

Prior to NB Renaissance, Mr. Manfredi served as a Vice President within the Private Equity team at Bain Capital in London. Before joining Bain Capital in 2018, Mr. Manfredi served as a Business Analyst for McKinsey & Co in Milan.

Mr. Manfredi graduated in Economics and Finance from Bocconi University and received a M.Sc. in Finance from Bocconi University.

Agostino Arcasensa is an Associate and started his career at NB Renaissance in 2019. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Alfasigma, Mecaer Aviation Group, Novamont, Hydro Holding, Arbo and U-Power.

Mr. Arcasensa graduated in Business Administration from Bocconi University and received a M.Sc. in Management cum laude from Bocconi University.

Roberto Garolla Di Bard is an Associate and started his career at NB Renaissance in 2018. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Savio, Uteco, Engineering, Inetum and Bending Spoons.

Mr. Garolla graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Federico II University of Naples and received a Double M.Sc. Degree from Bocconi University and Rotterdam School of Management, respectively in Accounting, Financial Management & Control and in Finance & Investments.

Alice Loiacono is an Associate and joined NB Renaissance in 2018. She has been involved in a number of transactions including Camfin Pirelli, Farnese Vini, Comelz, Inetum and Neopharmed.

Prior to NB Renaissance, Mrs Loiacono worked in the Private Debt team of Ardian in Paris.

Ms. Loiacono graduated in Business Administration from Bocconi University and received a Diplôme Grande Ecole from the ESSEC Business School in Paris and Singapore.

Matteo Perugi is an Associate and joined NB Renaissance in 2017. He has been involved in a number of transactions including Biolchim, Hydro Holding, Rino Mastrotto, Engineering, Sicit and Neopharmed.

Matteo graduated cum laude in Economics and Finance from Bocconi University and received a M.Sc. in Finance from Bocconi University.

Claudia Ciampelli is an Analyst and started her career at NB Renaissance in 2022.

Ms. Ciampelli graduated cum laude in Business Administration from Bocconi University and received a Double M.Sc. Degree from Bocconi University and University of St. Gallen, respectively in Accounting, Financial Management & Control and in Accounting & Finance.

Michele Drudi is an Analyst and joined NB Renaissance in 2023.

Prior to NB Renaissance, Mr. Drudi worked in the M&A team of Lincoln International in Milan.

Mr. Drudi graduated cum laude in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University and received a M.Sc. in Finance from Bocconi University.

Francesco Moglia is the Head of Operations in Luxembourg and joined NB Renaissance in 2015.

Prior to NB Renaissance, he was a Principal of the Private Equity Group at Intesa Sanpaolo. Previously, he was General Manager of Société Européenne de Banque in Luxembourg. Mr. Moglia started his career at Intesa Sanpaolo in London, where he led the Financial Engineering team.

Mr. Moglia graduated in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University and received a M.Sc. in Finance from the London Business School.

Giacomo Barchetta is the Head of Finance in Luxembourg and joined NB Renaissance in 2018.

Prior to NB Renaissance, he worked as Chief Financial Officer in Mid Industry Capital, an investment company listed on the Milan Stock Exchange. From 2000 to 2012, he was an auditor and a Director at Deloitte in the M&A Transaction Services department.

Mr. Barchetta graduated in Business Administration from Bocconi University.

Sébastien Schaack is the Finance Manager in Luxembourg and joined NB Renaissance in 2017.

Prior to NB Renaissance, he worked for 10 years in the Corporate and Private Equity Group at Intesa Sanpaolo in Luxembourg. Mr Schaack started his career in several corporate and trust services firms.

Mr. Schaack graduated in Business and Administration Management from IUT Longwy (France).

Gauthier Back, Assistant Vice President and Fund Controller for Neuberger Berman, joined the firm in 2021. Gauthier previously worked as an experienced manager in audit at Deloitte Luxembourg, where he supported leading firms in private equity and real estate funds.

Gauthier is mostly dedicated to NB Renaissance's funds and is a member of the valuation committee.

Gauthier is involved in the governance and control process of NB Renaissance's funds and is responsible for managing the funds operational processes with outsourced providers. Gauthier is responsible for the oversight of the fund administrator processes such as fund accounting, financial reporting oversight, capital call/distribution, and liquidity management. Gauthier is also responsible for managing credit facilities, as well as supporting the launch of new products, fundraising and set-up of new funds.

Stanislas Kervyn is Head of Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering and Risk Management in Luxembourg and joined NB Renaissance in 2019.

Prior to NB Renaissance, he held a number of roles at Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management in Luxembourg which he joined in 2008, including Legal and Compliance Officer, Fund Investment Manager and Conducting Officer initially in charge of Risk Management and thereafter responsible for Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering.

Mr. Kervyn started his career in Internal Auditing at Caterpillar Group Services in Belgium and Franklin Templeton Investment Services in Luxembourg.

Mr. Kervyn graduated cum laude as Ingénieur Commercial et de Gestion from Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium and received a M.Sc. in Business Administration from Cornell University in the USA.

François Watelet is a Risk Manager in Luxembourg and joined NB Renaissance in 2020.

Prior to NB Renaissance, he held a number of roles at Swedbank Luxembourg in the fund administration and management areas, including Conducting Officer of Swedbank Management Company S.A. from 2014 to 2020. Prior to that, Mr. Watelet was Fund Accountant at State Street Bank in Luxembourg and at JP Morgan Bank in Luxembourg.

Mr. Watelet graduated in Management and received a post-graduate degree in Financial Economics from Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. He has been awarded the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification in 2019 and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) since November 2020.

Antonella Santoro is an Office Manager and joined NB Renaissance in 2015.

Prior to NB Renaissance, she worked as executive assistant at Investindustrial, Banca IMI, Nomura, Lehman Brothers and KPMG.

Ms. Santoro holds a certificate in Accounting from ITCG Andrea Doria Milan.

Martina Bergomi is a Team Assistant and joined NB Renaissance in 2016.

Prior to NB Renaissance, she served as a hostess to several events and conferences and worked as a receptionist at the NH Hotel Cavalieri in Pisa.

Ms. Bergomi holds a Touristic operator diploma from the Technical Institute for Tourism Artemisia Gentileschi in Milan.

Jessica Bertani is a Team Assistant and joined NB Renaissance in 2020.

Prior to NB Renaissance, she worked as an Account Executive at PRevolution for four years and was Head Receptionist at Fiera Milano S.p.A. for nine years

Anthea Canuti is a Team Assistant and joined NB Renaissance in 2017.

Prior to NB Renaissance, she served as a hostess to several events and conferences and worked as a receptionist at Rho Fiera Milano in 2016.

Ms. Canuti holds a certificate in Accounting from Istituto Vilfredo Federico Pareto in Milan.
